A weighted vest adds load to your torso to make your pull-ups, dips, push-ups, squats and even runs harder, while keeping your hands free.
Start from the load you're aiming for in a few months' time, not the one you use today. The model that takes up to 20 kg is enough to load your push-ups, squats and first pull-ups. The model that takes up to 50 kg is for heavy loads.
Steel plates take up little space and let you load more weight. Sand costs almost nothing but weighs less for the same volume: the vest that takes up to 20 kg holds 10 kg of sand. Either way, you adjust the load pocket by pocket.
On a loaded vest, your shoulders take the weight. Ours has wider shoulders and a foam lining to cushion the load.
The vest keeps your hands free: push-ups, pull-ups, dips, squats and running. For very heavy pull-ups and dips, a dip belt is easier to load.
No, the vest comes empty. You fill it with sand or steel plates. A set of 6 steel plates is available as an option.
The 20 kg model to load your push-ups, squats and first weighted pull-ups. The 50 kg model if you already lift heavy, or if you want room to progress.
Plates pack more weight into the same volume: the vest that takes up to 20 kg holds 20 kg of plates, but only 10 kg of sand. Sand is still the cheapest way to start.
A common guideline: start at around 5 to 10% of your bodyweight. Then add load in small steps, once all your sets are clean.
The vest for push-ups, squats, running and circuits. The dip belt for heavy pull-ups and dips. Our guide compares the two.
